💡 Card Types
Summary vs Large Image
  • summary: Small square thumbnail (144×144px min) with title and description.
  • summary_large_image: Large rectangular image (1200×628px) above title. Much higher engagement.
  • Use summary_large_image for articles, blog posts, and product pages.
  • Use summary for profile pages, homepages, or when no hero image is available.


📖 Requirements
Twitter's Guidelines
  • Title: max 70 characters.
  • Description: max 200 characters.
  • Large image: minimum 300×157px, max 4096×4096px, under 5MB.
  • Summary image: minimum 144×144px, max 4096×4096px.

Validate Your Cards
  • Use Twitter's Card Validator (cards-dev.twitter.com/validator) to test.
  • Twitter caches cards — changes may take a few minutes to appear.
  • If twitter: tags are missing, Twitter falls back to og: tags.
  • Always include both og: and twitter: tags for best compatibility.
